Jerome Cox

Mr. Cox is a Director at Sustainable Capital Advisors. Mr. Cox has served as an investment banker and/or financial advisor for nearly 11 years. He started his career at Citi in the Municipal Securities Division where he provided financial and credit analysis for several types of U.S. based state and local government entities and non-profits including colleges, universities, charter schools and independent private schools. Mr. Cox also worked as a senior banker at Rice Financial Products Company, a boutique investment banking firm. He has worked as a senior banker or financial advisor on financings totaling over $2 billion that included power, transportation (airports, seaports) water and sewer, higher education and other economic development related projects.

Mr. Cox has significant expertise in serving infrastructure clients in the Caribbean. He currently serves as the financial advisor to the Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority (WAPA) and the West Indian Company Limited (WICO) where he is responsible for a range of services, including developing and implementing comprehensive plans of finance, rating agency strategy and data analysis. Mr. Cox has developed financing strategies that have accessed various types of capital such as local bank financing (FirstBank and Banco Popular), public debt offerings (tax-exempt and taxable bonds) and US Government Agencies (USDA-Rural Utility Service). Mr. Cox received his undergraduate degree from Clark Atlanta University where he majored in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Accounting.
